TOLP Consulting is a new and dynamic consultancy, founded by David Smyth, specialising in providing retailers, retail property owners and business-to-business (B2B) vendors with the right tools to improve operational efficiency and fuel growth.

Prior to setting up TOLP Consulting, David spent 8 years at Unilever in various sales and marketing management roles followed by a further 8 years at FootFall where he held a number of positions including marketing director and business planning director. Most recently he was US regional director where he was responsible for planning, setting up and running the FootFall US operation.

Whilst marketing director at FootFall he was instrumental in helping the company to grow to become the leading provider of customer counting (footfall) systems in the world.  Fundamental to this success was the positioning of FootFall as the key source of customer counting statistics in Europe and encouraging the ongoing use of these statistics in many national newspapers, trade journals and TV reports.

With over 18 years experience working within both B2B vendor organisations as well as with retailers and retail property companies in over 31 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas, David has a wealth of experience to share. His philosophy is that a consultancy should work with you and not just for you, helping you to implement rather than just recommending agreed solutions.
